Ready Hands, Nursing Earth, Navigating Earth, Stirring Earth
My series is titled People and Land. The paintings regard how we use the body to interact with earth and make food. There are fewer people working in labor than years ago, especially in cultivating, planting, and harvesting food. Now, the body is more commonly used at a keyboard than as tools to feed ourselves. The fading away of humans as implements, makes me sentimental and reverent of the body as a magnificent instrument.

Studio Judy G, located in Watsonville, California, is the new gallery/studio of Judy Gittelsohn. She is now all in one place with her entire collection of paintings which will be featured in the gallery on rotation every few months. Studio Judy G is first and foremost a gallery as well as being a location for Judy to conduct her workshops. She hosts Golden workshops and Art For Well Beings workshops within Studio Judy G and on Zoom.
